Privacy policy

Last updated October 31, 2026

This policy explains what information QuellPost ("QuellPost", "we", "us") handles when you visit quellpost.com, join early access or use our email management service, and what choices you have. Questions go to privacy@quellpost.com.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you send us, such as your name, email address and the email provider you use, when you request early access or write to us.
  • Mailbox connection details when you connect a mailbox: the address, the provider and the access token or app password that lets us reach it. Tokens and passwords are stored encrypted.
  • Message metadata needed for cleanup: sender, subject, date, folder and the unsubscribe headers that senders include.
  • Message content, only when you turn on an AI feature such as a summary or a reply draft. The content is processed to produce that result and is not stored afterwards.
  • Basic technical data from visits to this website, such as request logs kept by our hosting provider for security.

How we use information

  • To show you who sends you mail, unsubscribe you when you ask, file messages into a digest or holding folder, and produce summaries and drafts you request.
  • To respond to you, invite you to the service and keep it secure.

We do not sell, rent or share your email data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train general purpose AI models. People at QuellPost do not read your messages, except with your permission to investigate a problem, for security, or where the law requires it.

Google user data

When Gmail support is available, QuellPost's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

We share information only with infrastructure providers that host and process data on our behalf, including providers of AI processing that are bound not to keep or train on it, and when required by law.

Retention

We keep mailbox connection details and metadata for as long as a mailbox is connected and delete them within 30 days after you disconnect it. Early access requests are kept until launch or until you ask us to delete them.

Security

Access tokens and passwords are stored in an encrypted secrets manager, never in application code or logs. Access to customer data is limited to the systems that need it.

Your choices

You can disconnect a mailbox at any time, revoke our access from your Microsoft account or by deleting the app password you created, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information by writing to privacy@quellpost.com.

Children

QuellPost is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell users by email.
